The Value-added of Industry Increased by 16.9 Percent in January and February

In January and February, the total value-added of the industrial enterprises above designated size (all state-owned enterprises and those non-state-owned enterprises with an annual sales income over 5 million yuan, same as follow) was 903.4 billion yuan, increased 16.9% over the same month of the previous year, the rapid of growth rate was almost remain the same as compared with the same period of last year.

1. The metallurgy and electronic industries continued fast pace. In January and February, metallurgy and electronic industries increased by 26.8% and 19.1% respectively, the contribution ratio was 12.5% and 9.8% respectively. Additionally, 4 industries have more contribution to the growth of industries; in file were chemical, electric power, general equipment manufacturing and spinning.

2. Main energy, smelt and electronic production accelerated. In January and February, the output of original coal and electricity respectively rose by 12.2% and 12.1%; pig iron, crude steel and steel products increased by 27.1%, 22.9% and 19.4% respectively; alumina and electrolytic aluminum was up by 14.4% and 16.4% respectively; micro electronic computer was up by 47.8%, of which, note-book computer rose by 88.7%; that of mobile phone and electrograph was up by 23.9% and 44.4% respectively; monitor and printer respectively rose by 33.8% and 50.9%; automobiles increased by 1.9%, wherein that saloon car dropped by 1.5%.

3. The exports of industrial products kept fairly fast growth. Industries completed exports was 583.8 billion yuan, up by 33.4%, the rapid of growth rate was up by 7.1 percentage points as compared with the same period of last year.

4. The connection of production and sale slightly increased. In January and February, The sales ratio of industrial products was 97.24%, up by 0.57 percentage points higher than that in the previous year.
